Project Description:

The project is located in starry sky sponge Park in Shanghai Nanhui New Town, which is a supporting service building for the park. The design idea is derived from "bridge house". The building volume is stretched across both sides of the river. The section of the building flying above the river adopted the stress principle of "T-shaped steel". The roof and lateral curtain wall are supported by the middle vertical wall. The whole building facade is mainly made of Cast-in-place concrete, and the east and west sides of the second floor are made of fully glazed glass curtain walls, showing the spatial characteristics of the "bridge" visually.    

The roof of the building is partially protruded, forming independent structural supports, which together with the "T-shaped" cross-section structural supports on both sides constitute the structural system of the building, forming a rich spatial interface. Through the contrast between the north and south sides of the facade, the entrance grey space and clear concrete facade are organically combined.

On the north side of the first floor of the building, public toilets are arranged in the park, and maternal and child rooms are equipped with barrier-free toilets. The remaining rooms are equipment rooms. On the south side, the user station, police room and related equipment room of Plot C are set up. There is a building entrance and exit on the north and south sides. The second floor of the building is the tourist rest area, which is above the water. The tourist rest area is equipped with a tea room and a coffee shop, and there are excellent views on both sides. The public space on the second floor can be used as a temporary exhibition hall, and later exhibitions with related themes can be set according to the needs.
