On September 26, 2020, solstice on October 7, as a new highlight of Beijing international design week, "WHOLE PARK HELI habitat art design festival" and "Living ·12 yuan lifestyle concept exhibition" were launched in the town of HELI habitat in the suburb of Beijing. The exhibition invited 15 well-known designers and artists to work together to create an international design town and depict the future lifestyle.

As a representative of the exhibition designer, Cao Xiaoxin, deputy chief architect of China architecture design and research Group was interviewed.  As the curator of the exhibition "new earth & wood" ，he mentioned the exhibition focus on innovation and future construction method. Two experimental buildings was showed including drawings and models. The two buildings will be using new materials and new technology, to redefine the spatial experience of life in the future.

The exhibition exhibited two experimental buildings located in HELI inhabit town.

The "Wood" house will be constructed by laminated bamboo which shaped in wood square article of 60 mmx60mm. Laminated bamboo is used as a structural support material here.

The "earth" house is made of cast-place concrete through flexible formwork. Here, the wall of special concrete pouring is not only a load-bearing body, but also meets the thermal requirements of heat preservation and insulation, realizing the high requirements of one pouring and one surviving of inner and outer exposed concrete wall. The exhibition will also showcase projects, technical research and product design of the full scale chain of "DAQI ARCHITECTS", striving to present buildings using contemporary materials and technology.

Architect Cao Xiaoxin, was invited to attend the opening ceremony and gave a speech at the forum "Urban Architecture and Development" and "People's Future Lifestyle". 

 12 Courtyard is positioned as "art and life Pavilion without walls". The town has been transformed from a primitive village into an international design town, and its transformation process is full of surprises and challenges. Through the joint efforts of architects Dong Yugan, Sugan Shi Lang, Cao Xiaoxin and Zhang Chaoming etc, the town will integrate the cultural context of natural villages and modern courtyard features, reconstruct the disappearing urban and rural areas, and create the AO Life—— whole-life dwelling mode.
