The people s Procuratorate of Beijing
Wu Chaohui (Preface) Architecture is the difficulty. Other factors are relative, only difficulties are unconditional. To cope with the difficulties associated with architecture, it seems impossible for architects working under the background of Chinese culture to choose the realistic road Since the founding of the people's Republic of China, there have been two different concrete ways: Romantic Realism and critical realism. To put it bluntly, there are two means of expression: circling and hitting hard. In Beijing's ring line and the first-line subway, we happen to appreciate the different effects of these two ways. During the rush hours, the flow of people in the ring subway is like the liquid in the distillation test glass tube volatilizing and replenishing one by one, while the flow of people in the first line subway is like the rat in the bellows being blown from one end to the other. Another coincidence is that the new office building of Beijing People's Procuratorate designed by Cao Xiaoxin is located in the northwest corner of the East intersection of the ring line and the first line subway. If we can see at a glance that this new building vividly reproduces the characteristics of the base through the first line and the ring line subway, then the deep meaning of this is that its relatively dynamic composition method skillfully combines the functional organization and challenges the traditional government office building image which is not false. Abandoning the disadvantage of "thinking only half" of such symmetrical buildings, architects have explored various possibilities by asking for trouble. In the forest of difficulties, the tortuous road that architects can finally walk out and the effort they spend are actually not fully recognized in this book. At the same time, I hope that this book can summarize all the experiences in the process and make us smarter in the future projects, but in my opinion, it's just self consolation. Architects and these difficulties are destined to coexist. The more capable, the more difficult! What this book wants to present to readers is the difficulties encountered by Cao Xiaoxin and his design team in implementing this office building project at various stages. The joy of being able to solve it is short-lived, and even there is no time to celebrate, and new difficulties come one after another. Although every architect's way of self relief and relaxation is different, we are surprisingly similar in this point. This book seems to record the experience and lessons, experience and reflection in the implementation of a major project. But more importantly, readers can "simulate" the difficulties and challenges faced by architects in various periods, as well as their courage, boldness, even embarrassment and anxiety through background materials, drawings, working models, sketches and other "specimens". Although there are some reservations about the expression of these things in the book, they are not necessarily unknown. All these suggestions are just for readers to acquire not only some knowledge, but also experience in dealing with difficulties. In the process of sometimes soaring and sometimes crawling, how to keep sober and spare no effort, and how to approach the solution by circling and bumping around is the problem that readers should seriously consider. Cao Xiaoxin (Introduction) When working in the architectural design circle, you always have to bid. Of course, this kind of bidding is sometimes called scheme competition. This project is no exception, after two rounds of scheme competition, it can be implemented. Architects all know that bidding is not the only way to test the truth: the purpose of bidding is to choose the best, but the winning scheme is often not the best and most suitable one, and sometimes it will become the freak and garbage of the city. The reason is simple: if you want to win the election, you must be noticed. Therefore, the publicity and easy to read scheme is "eye-catching", and the grand and vanity filled design is easy to choose. The bidding scheme often does not consider the rational factors of the existence of the building itself in good faith. The scheme lacks the support of environmental, technical, material and economic factors. The economy and technology are out of touch, and the material and form are out of touch. The implementation stage will naturally take shape, and the building is bound to be naive and superficial. The most basic elements of a house, such as efficiency, scale and place, are missing, Not to mention the narration of humanistic spirit in the original plan text ◊ ubiquitous bidding is flooding the construction market. In the cruel competition game rules, more and more Chinese buildings are losing sincerity, introverted and deep thinking of social significance. Its appearance is not only the waste of design resources in renderings and model competitions, but also the indifference to technology and construction research. When the model building, effect drawing building and judge building become inferior buildings in reality in a few years, the architects and judges have long been involved in the reincarnation of other new projects after collecting their own expenses, leaving only the owners to express their feelings of being fooled in the building with extreme dissatisfaction. But in the procuratorate project, we always let ourselves keep a sincere attitude, objectively study the city and analyze the location, and pay more attention to the most basic problems such as cost, ventilation, lighting, sight, efficiency and so on, so that these basic problems become the origin of the construction form. I think it's because of our sincerity that luck finally patronizes us. more Fortunately, we met the construction party like Beijing Municipal People's Procuratorate. Although there were constant differences in the process, the more trust generated by communication made us have a common goal: to build a good house. Such luck has been extended to the later construction units such as the construction and development company of China Construction First Bureau. Today, I miss working with them in the same boat and fighting day and night on the construction site. That hard and happy experience has become my spiritual wealth. They have always given strong support to the architects from the plan making stage to the implementation stage, so that the spirit and temperament of the original plan can be implemented in the construction details. The above words are written three years after winning the bid. It's a little suspected of being cheap. However, it's true to me. I think sincerity should be respected. |
