On October 21, 2021, the third academic Annual conference of Architectural Renovation and Urban Renewal Professional Committee of Architectural Society of China was held in Shenzhen.

The theme is "Old and new, Vitality Regeneration" . The conference aims to further promote the development of architectural renovation and urban renewal in China and improve the level of architectural technology.

Cao Xiaoxin was invited to give speech on the annual meeting of the Architectural Renovation and Urban Renewal  Committee of Architectural Society of China, who is  the deputy chief architect of China architecture design and research Group., principal architect of DAQI ARCHITECRTS, the vice-director of Architectural Renovation and Urban Renewal Professional Committee of Architectural Society of China, and the vice president of the China-Asia Economic Development Association.

The topic of his speech is "Urban Renewal under the Reorganization of Elements".The lecture explained the urban renewal idea of elements reorganization proposed by Daqi Design, and academic sharing was carried out based on several award-winning projects recently completed by Daqi Design, including Dream Peony Pavilion in Fuzhou, Jiangxi province, and Plot 93 scheme of Holi Qidi in Beijing.

Experts stressed that China has made great achievements in urban construction over the past 40 years of reform and opening up, and the appearance of cities has changed dramatically.In the transition period of Chinese cities from extensive development to refined development, it is necessary to discuss the problem of urban renewal in order to meet the needs of contemporary Chinese urban innovation and development.
